When purchasing online...

You will need to purchase a conservation license, along with a fishing license. Typically in 2 consecutive day blocks, you would purchase the license for the first day of fishing in Montana.

If fishing more for more than 4 consecutive days it's cheaper to buy the 10 day license.

Montana Fishing License Costs

One or two days fishing for $35 for both conservation and fishing license
4-day fishing for $60 (2 sets of 2-day licenses plus conservation)
$66 for 10 days and $96 total for a season

Children under 11 years are not required to purchase a license.

Yellowstone National Park Fishing Licenses

Since Yellowstone Park Fishing Licenses are not available online, we will visit a YNP visitor center, or a local fly shop to purchase licenses that day.

Consecutive 3-day YNP license for $18
Consecutive 10 day YNP license for $25
Season YNP license for $40
